Kylie's bday

Kylie turned 3 this year. She wanted a "horse" themed birthday party. We really wanted to treat her and the family to a party at a miniture horse stable in Hays, but it didn't work out that way this year. Everyone's schedules were very busy and it was hard to get us all together. Kylie decided she wanted to have a party at Pizza Hut. She loved it being with friends and family. She wore her cowgirl outfit and celebrated with a horse themed cake.

Snow Fun

The girls enjoyed their day of snow. They had any where from a trace to 4.5 feet of snow to play in depending on which part of the yard they were in. The girls went sledding for the first time. Daddy dumped them off the sled, so they were not to happy. Mommy convinced them to try again and then they were loving it. They even slide (Kylie's term) down the big hill at the diversion ditch. After taking a nap and warming up, they went back outside to build snowmen, play bumper cars with their battery operated race car and jeep, and then helped daddy build a snowcave in the 4.5 foot snow drift. They had a lot of fun even though they got a little cold. I think we went through four sets of clothes just trying to keep them dry and warm. It was a great day.

Fire in the yard.

An exciting evening for us. Our neighbor called to tell that our yards were both on fire. Thankfully, my fireman husband was home and was able to put them both out. Then his investigator side came out and he figured out what and who caused the fire. The sheriff was then notified and it was all taken care of. Someone tore through a field behind my neighbors house, then drove through there yard running over grapevines, then through our yard running over a small tree of ours. Milo stubble caught on the vehicle caught fire catching out yards on fire. All is well now. I am just thankful that my neighbor caught the fires and that Luke was home. Thanks to our dogs too for barking up a storm to let us know too.
